We constructed an experiment to how electricity reacts with a magnetic field, producing a force. Later on, we constructed a DC electric motor from a kit.
We learnt about Fleming's left-hand rule and how the coil of a DC electric motor rotates constantly. The rule is generally is used to determine the directions of the force exerted by the magnet, the magnetic field and the direction of the current flow.
The project was highly interesting and I have truly learnt a lot about the fundamentals of building and understanding DC motors, which can be applied almost anywhere.
